Position Summary :

Manages the overall activities of the restaurant operation. Ensures that guest service requirements are being met by line-level employees while enforcing pre-established policies and procedures.

Job Description :

• Establishes and administers training programs within the assigned restaurant.
• Counsels, guides and instructs personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
• Direct the development and administration of controls for all phases of the restaurant in an economical and profitable manner while maintaining established standards.
• Assists in the maintenance and development of procedures for food service and inspects menu items for maximum customer satisfaction.
• Supervises staff on shift and ensures proper staffing levels in order to provide high standards of service with minimum labor hours.
• Ensures that available facilities are adequate for the performance of duties by assigned personnel.
• Maintains and instructs assigned personnel on safety policies and procedures, and follows up to ensure that hazards are eliminated.
• Monitors the appearance of food served and communicates deviations from the standard.
• Performs assigned input work in helping compile annual budgets, enters daily sales, orders, POS Issues and helps maintain restaurant inventory.
• Prepares and coordinates the periodical performance reviews of assigned personnel.
• Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Ute Mountain Casino

Supervisory Responsibilities :

• The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the direction mentorship and leadership of "front-end" staff. Such action includes duties such as interviewing;
• training; directing the work of employees; maintaining production; appraising employees’ productivity and efficiency for purposes of recommending other changes (evaluations);

handling employees’ grievances and complaints; planning work; providing for safety and security; and monitoring or implementing legal compliance matters.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Education Preferred :

• College Degree Preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• 5 years' experience in the restaurant industry in a management role is required.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to frequently push or pull 25lbs.
• Ability to frequently lift 25-50 lbs.
• Ability to continually stand and / or walk the entire shift.
• Must be able to work a fluctuating schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a hot or cold environment.
