Residential Living Assistant jobs in Maine
Residential Living Assistant provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. Administers and records medications given to residents. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Residential Living Assistant possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Shared living Providers are paid as independent contractors at a rate of $125 per day, plus room and board.
Shared Living Provider Responsibilities Include- Establishing a caring rapport and safe environment.
- Interactive engagement with supported individuals (hobbies and other interests).
- Transporting to medical appointments, paid or volunteer commitments, shopping, and other community outings.
- Following individual service plans as well as behavioral, medical, and other support protocols.
- Supporting or performing basic housekeeping duties.
- Assisting daily hygiene, personal care, and grooming as necessary.
- The ability to become a CRMA in order to pass medications. Training provided.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Ability to read, write and communicate proficiently in the English Language
- Ability to lift/push/pull 50lbs.
- Proof of Flu, measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella vaccinations.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Training and certifications provided which includes First Aid CPR, Safety Care, and CRMA.
