Residential Care Medical Director plans and directs all aspects of clinical care at an assisted living or skilled nursing facility. Ensures that clinical programs operate in compliance with all applicable regulations. Being a Residential Care Medical Director provides patient consultations as needed and manages relationships between staff and attending physicians. Advises non-medical management on clinical and patient related matters and policies. Additionally, Residential Care Medical Director requires a MD degree from an accredited school. Requires a state license to practice medicine. Typically reports to top management. The Residential Care Medical Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Residential Care Medical Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Youth Residential Program Director

  • Dimondale is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Residential Program Director to join our Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing youth residential facilities or similar. Candidates must meet the minimum education and experience requirements to be considered for the role.

    **Duties**

    • Responsible for full operation of all program components ensuring that all regulatory bodies’ requirements are maintained.
    • Assists in ongoing review of procedures and manuals to assure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and other standards.
    • Ensures that quality is maintained in all aspects of the residential program via planned and unplanned checks of all components, including procedures and forms, as stated in the program statement
    • Serve on various committees within DCFS and other beneficial community committees as required by existing regulations (Safety) and appointed by the Chief Program Officer and/or the Board of Directors.
    • Gather statistical program outcome measurement, data for all clients placed at all sites
    • Assist in the resolution and implementation of corrective action plans (CAP).
    • Interpret department policies and procedures for staff, youth, volunteers, etc., as necessary.
    • Review department policies, procedures, manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually, and participate in making recommended changes.
    • Assist in yearly agency strategic planning.
    • On site crisis response
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote positive outcomes for youth

    **Education Requirement**

    Have a master’s degree in a behavioral science from an accredited college or university, plus a minimum of one year of employment as a social worker, as defined in Section 80001s.(4) of the Title 22 Manual, in an agency serving children or in a group residential program for children.

    or

    Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least one year of administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, childcare, and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of six or more.

    **Requirements:**

    • Have at least five years’ experience working with the population served.
    • Have at least five years working in a supervisory capacity.
    • Have at least Three years’ working in a mental health setting.
    • Ability to provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution
    • Possesses a current STRTP Administrator Certificate
    • Available for On-Call Hours
    • Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively
    • Possesses good communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Must have some knowledge and ability to comply with all applicable laws and is familiar with Title 22, Regulations.
    • Must be at least 21 years old.
    • Must have effective writing and verbal skills with the ability to compose quality reports and other necessary correspondence.
    • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Must have a criminal record clearance for DOJ, FBI and child abuse index clearance.
    • Valid California drivers; license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.
    • Experience in operations management, home care, long-term care, and dementia care - Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills
