Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Technical Development Manager working with our CTO who will support the market vertical.   They will create a technical roadmap with technology strategies and be customer facing to grow the business.

Essential Functions

• Lead the technical activities associated with the Line of Business’ (LOB) strategic product focus areas and specific productization opportunities.
• Support the LOBs by assessing and recommending changes to their current and future engineering teams to support the current and future LOB business plans.
• Define and recommend technical gap closures (internal and external) for the LOB and implement as assigned.
• Support LOB growth plan.
• Identify and Assess Opportunities, including New Product Introductions (NPI) and Contracted Research and Development (CRAD)
• Develop and approve Independent Research and Development (IRAD) plan for LOB market.
• Develop white papers as assigned.
• Develop technical discriminators in support of business capture.

Experience and Skills

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

• Active Secret Level (preferred) or ability to qualify for a security clearance. 
• Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail. 
• Ability to support concurrent activities and tasks in multiple programs. 
• Ability to work with Defense Prime Contractors and DoD SMEs 
• Technical foundation, preferably built within the RF domain.
• Defense and Aerospace industry experience in RADAR with established relationships with DoD customers and key Defense OEMs.
• Strong business acuity with solid knowledge of finance, supply chain, and material planning. 
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, time-management and collaboration skills.
• Diligent and proactive results-driven personality.
• Adaptable to change and open to new ideas.
• Self-starter with a flexible and entrepreneurial style. 

Education

• BS Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or Business Management and minimum 10 years prior relevant Business experience.
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum seven (7) years of prior relevant Business experience.
