    The Director of Business Development is responsible for pushing new growth in business areas and remains poised to executive growth in any channel including new trial acquisition, new therapies, new sponsor/CRO relationships, new referring physician practices and/or new sites.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Lead BD team that includes outreach to pharmaceutical sponsors, CRO’s and interface with Elite Research.
    • Ensure quick turnaround time to external customers with regard to FQ’s and all study-related questions prior to receiving study award notification.
    • Drive a culture of expediency, stakeholder ‘delight’, and thorough documentation of all trial acquisitions and new customer information.
    • Resource the team adequately to have a balance between internal documentation and external focus on a new trial, site, PI, or therapy acquisition.
    • Search for opportunities to drive DM’s brand nationally/locally and ensure we are known for our key attributes: agility, quality, excellence, and patient-centricity
    • Lead Field Sales team on a Patient Referral program to drive patients to participate in DM trials.
    • Create marketing strategy and execution for communication to sponsors/CRO’s, including one-pagers, sponsor-related social media, presentations, trade-show presence, and all marketing collateral that is not patient-focused.
    • Responsible for the consistent look/feel of DM Clinical to communities, media, and all external stakeholders.
    • Lead team to look for opportunities to grow the national visibility of the company through business or individual awards, press releases, community leadership, local write-ups, LinkedIn presence, etc.
    • Any other duties as assigned by management

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

    Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in the life science or business field, required
    • Master’s degree in the life sciences, biology, or science-related field, preferred
    Experience:
    • Business development experience required
    • 5 years of sales or business development experience, selling services directly to the pharmaceutical and biotech section with direct interaction with mid-level and executive level decision makers.

    • Advanced healthcare industry knowledge
    • Extensive range of advanced analytical capabilities 
    • Demonstrated client retention skills
    • Successful track record in leading, managing or direct sales and marketing, preferably in Healthcare and/or Clinical Research environment
    • Physician relations, Case manager, Managed care, knowledge of local healthcare market preferred
    • Strong working relationship with internal DMCR management and site leadership
