Reliability Engineer jobs in Florida
Reliability Engineer analyzes and evaluates the reliability of products, equipment, components, and processes using engineering methodologies and tools. Develops the methods and measures utilized for reliability analysis based on product specifications, tolerances, or operating standards. Being a Reliability Engineer utilizes analysis techniques like FMEA, fault tree, and root cause analysis to identify problems. Oversees testing activities and reviews results. Additionally, Reliability Engineer creates risk-based failure mitigation plans. Proposes new or revised product designs, manufacturing processes and testing specifications that utilize best practices and will increase reliability. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically reports to an engineering manager. The Reliability Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. What You'll Do- Support failure analysis investigations driving root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Perform predictive/preventive/corrective maintenance, utilize computer systems and programs for documentation of maintenance/safety activities; perform time entry, enter notifications and work orders, enter corrective actions/comments
- Demonstrate an understanding of equipment maintenance
- Provide technical assistance in the scope of engineering, preventative and predictive maintenance, and other facets of reliability engineering
- Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical (ME), Civil(CE) or Aeronautical (AE)
- Strong analytical, critical thinking & organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Able to work well and efficiently in teams and cross-functional activities
- CMMS experience - SAP a plus
- Specific knowledge of hydraulics a plus
- Minimum 1 year field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment preferred
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
