Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home jobs in Massachusetts
Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home directs the programs and staff of the rehabilitation services department for a nursing home. Develops and implements rehabilitation programs by working with the operational leadership team and medical staff. Being a Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home sets and implements guidelines for rehabilitation programs such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Responsible for the direction, planning, and operation of the rehabilitation function. Additionally, Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home develops and implements policies and procedures regarding staffing and budget. May require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require a professional certification. The Rehabilitation Director - Nursing Home typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Requirements for the Executive Director:
- A current, unencumbered Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license in the state of Massachusetts
- Prior experience as an Administrator/Executive Director of a skilled nursing facility (SNF)
- Proven track record of achieving successful Department of Public Health and Joint Commission surveys
Job Duties for Executive Director:
- Provide leadership and direct the daily operations of our skilled nursing, long term care units and assisted living apartments.
- Maintain our focus on the organization’s resident-centered mission, vision, and long term goals
- Foster a culture of cooperation and teamwork among our clinical, managerial and ancillary teams
- Oversee hiring and staff management
- Ensure facility compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Oversee building and safety compliance; provide support during Life Safety surveys
- Develop and maintain an operational budget within corporate guidelines
- Interact effectively with governing board, residents, families, staff and visitors
