Duties DescriptionUnder the direction of the Park Manager and Office Manager, the selected candidate will:
- Communicate with patrons regarding inquiries over the phone and in person concerning the scheduling of special events, commercial activities, and room rentals.
- Schedule special events and activities and issue special use permits in coordination with the Park Manager, Park Supervisor, Park Police, and Park Partners.
- Verify that all permit information is correct, any fees are paid in full, and that insurance is collected, current, and meets the NYS requirements.
- Collecting fees and completing daily cashier reports and deposit slips while ensuring that all funds are safely deposited.
- Required to assist other park staff by filling in at the reception desk when needed and may also cover the reception desk on some days as scheduled.
- Responsible for maintaining the events and room rental calendar.
- Coordinating the setup of reserved rooms to their necessary room configurations.
- Assist with concert parking and fee collection duties.
- Work special events to ensure events are following the permit guidelines.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Additional CommentsOPERATIONAL NEEDS:
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with other staff and park patrons in a responsible and courteous manner.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as with others.
- Experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe programs.
- Ability to communicate in writing and to read and comprehend written material. Must be capable of doing basic math such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
