Racing and Sports Manager manages and directs the racing and sports book daily activities. Oversees racing and sports betting and ensures compliance with federal and state gaming regulations. Being a Racing and Sports Manager may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Racing and Sports Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. The Sports and Recreation Coordinator will serve as a lead on multiple tournaments or program functions as event manager and can think creatively about new events or new ways to improve current events. As an Event Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that programs reach their Key Performance Indicators and running successful events. Additionally, this position will aid in registration and data collection of external customer information. The position will also work with the organization's internal Sports and Recreation department to provide a schedule of competitions.

· Event manager of tournament, league, and programs

· Assistance in reconciling registration accounts and financials of customers
· Willingness to travel, when necessary, to operate/assist at events or recruit in various locations
· Work a flexible schedule which means a typically predictable schedule of some nights/weekends but comes with flexible hours within the traditional work week.
