Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Quarry Worker to join our team. As a Quarry Worker, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment, performing maintenance tasks, and ensuring the efficient operation of the quarry. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
Duties:
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and loaders to extract materials from the quarry
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Transport materials within the quarry using forklifts or other appropriate vehicles
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
- Assist with drilling and blasting operations as needed
- Inspect equipment for any damages or malfunctions and report issues to supervisors
- Load and unload materials onto trucks or conveyors for transportation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the quarry site
Skills:
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, etc.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment
- Experience with tanker operations is preferred
- Familiarity with oil and gas industry practices is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Commercial driving experience is beneficial
- Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery is an advantage
- Understanding of OSHA and MSHA regulations and commitment to safety protocols
