May formulate and revise quality control policies and procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree. The Quality Control / Food Safety Supervisor is responsible for assisting the manager in all resources related to quality. This includes reviewing, developing, implementing, and maintaining programs to improve product quality, food safety or technology in addition to monitoring, reviewing and/or developing programs to ensure products are produced in compliance with product standards, good manufacturing practices and in accordance with government regulations. Assists and maintains a solid understanding of food safety & quality awareness in all areas & functions. Also responsible for training, coaching.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 3-5 years experience in GMP, QC, and Manufacturing
- Excellent computer skills, interpersonal skills, organizational and communication skills required
- FSSC 22000 or SQF Certification preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of personnel within the organization.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of agents, auditors, supervisors, and managers.
- Ability to address and manage quality concerns with employees of all levels.
- Must be a self-starter, work independently, have personal integrity, and work effectively with internal personnel and support agencies.
