    Position : Construction Management – Construction Quality Manager

    Reports to: Department Manager

    General Qualities:

    - Oversee the construction quality of our project.

    - Ensuring that our project meets the highest standards of quality and compliance with regulations.

    - Extensive experience implementing QC programs in a construction environment.

    Responsibilities:

    - Serve as the designated CQCM, approved by CTDOT, responsible for the construction quality of the project.

    - Be present on-site daily to supervise or self-perform QC actions throughout the duration of the project. Maintain independence from design and construction production teams and have the authority to halt construction work if necessary.

    - Implement and oversee QC programs to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.

    - Provide leadership and guidance to project teams on quality control procedures and best practices.

    - Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues promptly.

    - Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    - Training and certification in QC principles, such as NETTCP QA Technologist Certification or equivalent, satisfactory to CTDOT.

    - Construction phase experience relevant to the type of work and scope of the project.

    - Substitutions allowed for educational attainment (e.g., bachelor’s or associate degree in related fields) and relevant certifications (e.g., NICET IV or III).

    - Prior supervisory experience in roadway or bridge construction preferred.

    Education & Experience:

    - Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in construction, with at least 2 years of demonstrated success implementing QC programs.

    - Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

    Additional Development:

    - This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and leadership skills.

    - The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

    - Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to delivering exceptional results are essential for success in this role.
