Quality Assurance Director jobs in Kentucky
Quality Assurance Director is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Being a Quality Assurance Director identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements. Additionally, Quality Assurance Director typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Quality Assurance Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Quality Assurance Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. About Us: DSJ’s Food and Beverage Client, is a leading food manufacturer, and they are seeking a Director of Quality Assurance. As a member of our Quality Leadership Team, you’ll play a pivotal role in upholding our standards and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Position Overview: As the Director of Quality Assurance, you’ll oversee the Quality Assurance and Sanitation Departments. Your duties include ensuring proper staffing, maintaining rigorous food safety practices, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. You’ll serve as the primary customer liaison and lead on-site quality audits.
What We’re Looking For
Education: A minimum of a B.S. in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. Professional experience will also be considered.
Certifications: Quality certification, including PCQI and Better Process Control, is preferred.
Experience: At least 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with direct exposure to food and aseptic processing.
Skills: Strong project management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication abilities are essential.
Leadership: Demonstrated team-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Innovation: Creativity in developing solutions and applications to enhance product quality.
Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
Additional Perks:
Competitive salary: $135K–$145K with a 10% bonus.
Relocation assistance: Ideally, we are seeking local candidates, but they are open to relocation (5-7k relocation package MAX).
