Public Transportation Inspector jobs in Michigan

Job Summary: To facilitate collaborative transportation opportunities for Spring Lake Public Schools as identified by the District. Responsible for the organization, administration, supervision in the area of the school district transportation system in accordance with State law and policies along with school district policies.

Education, Experience, Ability & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, MSBO Certification/Transportation Director or willingness to obtain;
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience in transportation operations and in a managerial role
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
• Ability to react calmly in emergency situations
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform essential functions

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid Drivers’ License and good driving record required.
• Meet school bus driver certification requirements: a. ) Minimum hours of instruction and b. ) Satisfactorily pass knowledge examination
• Meet state requirements for appropriate licensing, physical examination requirement
• Meet local/state standards for driving test and driver record check

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
