***Suicide Prevention Psychologist Opportunity***

Position Details:

The Ralph H Johnson Suicide Prevention team is recruiting a Clinical Psychologist for a GS13 Suicide Prevention Coordinator position based in Charleston, SC.

This is a great way to utilize your full range of skills as a clinical psychologist. Day to day tasks vary considerably but may include: assessment of and risk mitigation for Veterans at high risk for suicide, case consultation with providers and staff as subject matter expert in suicide prevention, responding to referrals from the Veterans Crisis Line, suicide prevention training and education for staff and community partners, postvention support follow suicide death, quality improvement projects, and suicide prevention outreach events at the facility and in the community.

An ideal applicant would value caring for Veterans at high risk for suicide, would have strong communication and interpersonal skills, would work well on a dynamic team, would be flexible and able to juggle multiple competing demands, and would be confident in high intensity situations.
