Being a Psychologist - M.A. uses talk therapy to treat patient illness or distress, cannot prescribe medication. Requires a master's degree in clinical psychology. HSI is looking for a Psychologist to join our team. HSI Psychologists study cognitive, emotional, and social processes and human behavior by observing, interpreting, and recording how people relate to one another and their environments.
This position typically works a standard schedule of 7:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday, however, schedule adjustments may be necessary based on need.
Job Duties:
1. Performs the professional services of a Licensed Psychologist.
2. Evaluate, consult and perform psychological assessment and testing of adults, adolescents and children.
3. Maintain patient records and documentation.
4. Assist in developing policies, procedures and programs for the delivery of outpatient psychological care.
5. Establish clinical standards for psychological care in cooperation with the CMO.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
1. Must have a Doctorate Degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
2. Currently licensed in the State of Alabama.
3. Completed one year of internship and have at least one year of experience in psychological care.
Because we are a Federally Qualified Health Center, all clinical positions at HSI require the candidate to be credentialed through APHCA (Alabama Primary Health Care Association) prior to starting work.
