Program Director
Apple Grove is a multi-service agency that provides Specialized Foster Care Services, services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, and a variety of mental health programs to youth, adults and families in our community.
About the Role
Apple Grove is looking for a highly motivated team member to join our growing organization. The Full Time Program Director will play a crucial role in the growth and development of Apple Grove. Must have excellent communication skills, knowledge of agency operations, and understanding of policy relating to government standards. You will advocate for children in need as well as adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Experience with Shared Living and working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Minimum of bachelor’s degree is a Social Service, master’s degree preferred
Responsibilities:
· Manage the day-to-day operations of one to five programs including organization and implementation of direct support providers, person-centered planning, and implementation, health care, advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, financial management, and maintenance of the physical environment.
· Responsible for fiscal control including budgeting, financial monitoring and application, transfer and responsibilities as a representative payee.
· Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
· Attend and participate in County/State/Provider meetings.
· Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
· Stays current with reimbursement changes, providing physician and staff updates and education as needed.
· Prepare reports and presentations on program development progress and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong commitment to the mission and values of Apple Grove
· Collaborate with the executive team to identify program needs and develop strategies to enhance existing programs.
· Actively participate in referral assessment and evaluation as well as admission, transition, and discharge planning. Ensure adequate review of assessments and other admission documentation of individuals.
· Ensure Apple Grove services and supports are adequate to effectively support each individual's needs, goals, and preferences prior to giving consent for admission.
· Review incident reports (IRs), complete investigations and follow-up as needed with staff and person supported. Conduct debriefing with staff and person supported for all critical incidents. Utilize information in IRs and staff interviews to modify plans and provide training, modeling, or other support as needed. Ensure notification of the state and other parties occurs as required per internal policy and state regulations.
