Why this job – PROJECT ACCOUNTANT:

In this Project Accountant role, you’ll be able to bring your expertise of project accounting to the table while being able to expand your skillset into general ledger and full cycle accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for the full project accounting cycle, from setting up projects to reconciliations and journal entries to ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to join a collaborative accounting team and take ownership of all aspects of project accounting.

What You'll Actually Do:

• Maintains accurate project records in Great Plains, ensuring contract compliance for billing and revenue recognition
• Manage the client billing cycle, ensuring invoices are accurate based on contracts, issued on time, and accounts receivable are collected efficiently
• Play a key role in the month-end close process, ensuring revenue recognition is complete and accurate and complete account reconciliations for each organization
• Track state and international tax filings and registrations
• Create and maintain accounting policies and procedures

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 3 years of project accounting experience
• Experience with MS Dynamics/Great Plains Project and Fixed Asset modules is required
• Advanced Excel experience required
• Experience with foreign currency and/or intercompany accounting is a plus!
• Self-starter with confidence in streamlining and documenting processes

• Target Compensation $95K discretionary bonus
