Production Scheduler Supervisor jobs in Oklahoma

Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises the development, preparation, and maintenance of production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Coordinates with internal teams to assess and incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler Supervisor monitors daily production results and develops revised scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Scheduler Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.      Job Summary Details

    • Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create production schedules that meet both internal and external needs. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.

    • Directs and supervises activities of machine operators and forklift drivers on shift.

    • Collaborates with manager of preventative maintenance to schedule activities.

    • Completes reports for production numbers, down time, attendance, overtime and quality checks and submits to Production Manager.

    • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.

    • Participate in interviews with hiring managers.

    • Trains, coaches and reviews performance of employees. Works with HR for employee discipline issues, terminations and recruitment.

    • Participates in safety team activities. Monitors and enforces safety requirements.

    • Conducts weekly safety talk trainings, daily safety/quality/production meetings, and hourly safety walks.

    • Builds a positive work environment.

    • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.

    • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.

    • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

    • Maintains time and production records.

    • Develops capital equipment justification for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost and cycle times.

    • Estimates, requisitions and inspects materials.

    • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
