Production Manager manages operations of production areas to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Follows overall production schedules to manage staffing and establish daily and shift production goals. Being a Production Manager monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues and implement process improvements. Coordinates maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. Additionally, Production Manager ensures that staff training processes, equipment, gear, and tool requirements are fulfilled to comply with health and safety regulations. Coaches teams in best practices to provide a safe and efficient work environment and resolve escalated issues and problems. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior manager. The Production Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Monitors and manages the verification of certifications and permits. Manages group and employee work to align with corporate/department objectives. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: The Manager, Development Permitting manages a team responsible for the submittal of permit applications and advising the business unit on new and upcoming regulations which may impact future permit submissions. Works collaboratively across teams and boundaries to implement a clear process for all applications to be complete, accurate, and timely. Sets strategic direction to ensure all permits are in hand in advance of the execution schedule and manages permitting implications of any schedule changes. Sets clear expectations and aligns teams on shared goals, priorities, and outcomes. Creates an environment of positive relationships where challenges and open discussion are welcomed and productively addressed. Communicates transparently with direct reports, internal stakeholders, and all levels of leadership. Represents Chevron as a regulatory permitting subject matter expert at permit hearings, with trade associations, and external agencies. Engages with local, state and federal staff in a collaborative and proactive manner. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 7 years of experience in energy permitting in a complex regulatory environment Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships across a wide variety of stakeholders to proactively manage challenges and achieve shared goals Demonstrated ability to set clear expectations and lead others through formal supervision or influential leadership Demonstrated ability to communicate transparently and concisely, both written and verbal, with high level leaders and government officials The selected candidate must currently live in or be willing to relocate to the Denver, CO or Greeley, CO commuting area Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field 5 years or more experience managing oil and gas permitting in Colorado 5 years or more leading others in formal supervisory or management roles Relocation Options: Relocation may be considered.
