Production Maintenance Supervisor jobs in West Virginia
Production Maintenance Supervisor supervises staff that performs maintenance service and repairs to complex electrical and mechanical production equipment and systems. Implements standard procedures to monitor equipment for performance, safety, and effectiveness. Being a Production Maintenance Supervisor coordinates resources for troubleshooting equipment repairs. Reviews and supports equipment failure analysis and troubleshooting resolutions. Additionally, Production Maintenance Supervisor trains, coaches, and educates workers in best practices and safety procedures. Monitors work orders to ensure accuracy and quality. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Maintenance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Production Maintenance Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. This position is responsible for the management of the production floor of a Processing Plant.
As an important team member, the expectations will be to consistently strive and contribute to overall excellence that will meet or exceed corporate objectives. Minimum Requirements For This Position Include- Management of Production Staff
- Scheduling, training and mentoring of associates
- Coordinate and insure all corporate training guidelines are being met for all associates
- A thorough understanding of production
- Willing to work second shift and rotating weekends
- Formal training on how to manage and lead by example
- Conflict resolution and training are key components for this position
- Good common sense
- Goal setting, delegate and follow-up
- Hands on leadership a must
- Must be able to lead and motivate by example
- Must be comfortable communicating with all levels of management
- Must be a self-starter who is good at identifying and leveraging opportunities as they arise
- Must have a positive attitude
- Seek ways to improve processes to increase profits
- Listens and allows for a free exchange of ideas
- Creates an environment of trust by giving and receiving honest communication
- Respects & supports team members, manages conflict effectively
- Supports decisions, puts what is best for Company above personal agenda
