The Manufacturing Supervisor reports to the Production Manager and oversees daily activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and budgetary targets. They lead, motivate, and direct team members toward these goals, requiring strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Interactions occur with customers, suppliers, and all levels within the organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise manufacturing department operations.
Manage ERP system.
Implement Lean Manufacturing methods.
Ensure a safe work environment.
Support company objectives by liaising with various departments, suppliers, and customers.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
Minimum five years of experience in rubber and/or composites manufacturing.
Two years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
Specific Tasks and Focus Areas:
Direct supervision of manufacturing department.
Manage department personnel and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Oversee employee performance, activity reporting, and growth plans.
Oversee customer order performance, budgets, and on-time delivery.
Manage nonconforming products, inventories, and ERP system maintenance.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing methods to manage the department effectively.
Ensure a safe work environment and support company objectives professionally.
Overall, the Manufacturing Supervisor role entails overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting company objectives through effective leadership and collaboration.
