Production Control Manager manages the day-to-day tactical production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost, and optimization. Oversees scheduling and the development of methods to allocate and control resources and materials effectively. Being a Production Control Manager establishes monitoring tools and processes to identify and plan for problems with waste, inefficiencies, and inventory in production operations. Recommends improvements to production technology and processes. Additionally, Production Control Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective planning methodologies and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Control Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Production Control Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Program Manager (PM) is one of the most essential roles in the company.  He/she is instrumental in ensuring customer success by serving as the primary point of contact and information for all aspects of the Fusion Customer partnership.

    The Program Manager must thrive in a team environment and be comfortable in a role that affords a great deal of variety. On any given day the Fusion PM may execute on order details, report to customers, focus on developing and optimizing customer strategies, identify new program opportunities, and find new ways for Fusion to help customers deliver with confidence.

    Essential Functions:

    • Relationship and Business Development 
    • Engage with customers at the start of the relationship – engage with sales presentation of the first quote (at the latest).
    • Develop strategies for new customers that cover supply chain solutions, stocking plans, fulfillment and reporting requirements to meet the customers’ unique needs.
    • Hold customer business reviews to ensure satisfaction and alignment.
    • Compile and present quotes based on internal resource planning and accurate cost estimation.
    • Build and maintain business relationships with customers by providing prompt and accurate communication and supporting service requests.
    • Establish and build rapport with internal team members – understand internal team hierarchies and decision-making structure.
    • Monitor status of customer programs and manage customer expectations through proactive communication.
    • Problem identification and resolution, conflict resolution and negotiation.
    • Program Management and Customer Service
    • Oversee daily and weekly open order status reports.
    • Responsible for PO / Quote review process and acceptance.
    • Monitor program reporting; ensure systems are updated with current information.
    • Conduct sales order entry for new products, make updates based on engineering change notifications. 
    • Work with appropriate Fusion departments to set timelines for tasks and manage delivery. 
    • Own upfront status and process checklist, work with internal team to close gaps and move forward to meet client expectations. 
    • Work with other customer service roles to conduct due diligence and problem-solving production issues before escalating to the customer. 
    • Coordinate with other departments to resolve customer requests – identify ways to address production issues, add value, and improve processes

    Requirements

      

    • Knowledge, skills and abilities: Must be a US person.
    • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Word and Excel, ERP/MRP experience a plus.
    • Strong analytical skills for identifying issues and solving problems.
    • A successful track record working in a communication-centric, team-oriented role. 
    • A self-starter working style – i.e. you are predisposed to ask questions and take opportunistic action.
    • Good organizational, presentation and customer service skills.
    • Computer knowledge is required such as: Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.
    • Excellent communication skills i.e., being able to communicate orally, in person and by telephone in a clear concise manner.

    Education and Experience: 

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
    • Program Management experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
