ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Pull orders as needed.

· Responsible for the physical inventory of raw materials and finished goods in stock requested by Distribution Manager or Plant Manager.

· Conducts inventory of irradiated items and private label items quarterly in the Brazos warehouse to insure minimums are being met.

· Accounts for product returns to insure that they are restocked to their proper location within the warehouse.

· Initiates documented physical counts as deemed necessary.

· Responsible for filling out physical count sheets and entering counts into the system.

· Verifies that FIFO methods are being followed.

· Insures that all products in racks have been manufactured.

· Also insures that products are properly tagged and stored.

· Works closely with Distribution Manager in the relocation and storage of products produced within that area

· Assists Dozen Packing supervisors with supplying packing tables with supplies needed to complete production orders

· Ensures the organization of the products within storage areas.

· Prints last counted report and reviews for cycle count planning.

· Stock jar shelves in order filling department as needed.

· Assist Distribution Manger as needed.

· Run lots soon to expire reports monthly and consults with Quality Control for disposition.

· Bin locates products when needed throughout the warehouse.

· All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year related experience and/or training preferred

· Must be certified to operate stand up and sit down forklifts

· Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos

· Able to write simple correspondence

· General understanding of database software; Inventory software; spreadsheet software, Word Processing software and accounting software specific to barcodes

· Able to generate reports based on accounting software

· Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

· Able to compute rate, ratio, and percent

· Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

· Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

· Attention to Detail

· Able to work well as a team

· Able to maintain regular and punctual attendance

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk and hear

· Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 110 pounds

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

· Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts

· Regular exposure to various temperatures, dusty, and wet/humid conditions and outside weather conditions

· Noise level is usually moderate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.00 per week
