Product Development Manager manages the staff, resources, and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Incorporates research and concept development projects and capabilities with market analysis, industry intelligence, and customer monitoring to support product roadmaps and innovate new products, enhancements, and redesigns. Being a Product Development Manager coordinates with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products meet development targets and support the organization's financial goals. Develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Additionally, Product Development Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Product Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Product Development/Marketing Coordinator

  • OVERALL JOB DESCRIPTION:

    This position is full-time and will report to the Vice President of Product Development and Marketing. The primary duty of this role is to help with social media, trend, graphic design and content creation.

    JOB DUTIES: RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    Product Development

    • Work closely with VP to bring trend ideas to team. This includes doing local store research trips.
    • Trend recaps – After store visits and research, would be preparing color and trend recaps for each season.
    • Sample management – as samples arrive from factory, would keep them organized by program during development and once styles are bought, then samples are arranged in the conference room and sample room prospectively.
    • Production approvals – When production samples arrive, they would need to be checked for fit, quality and to the approved art. Make sure licensed styles are approved.
    • Program coordinator – once a program has been confirmed, responsible for doing a final approved cad presentation, pulling all samples together, making sure samples are photographed and approved.
    • PLM Reporting – Regular reporting pulled on samples due, pricing, etc.

    Marketing

    • Work with VP to help manage the Marketing Calendar.
    • Keep track of our online presence – social listening, concept ideas, answering questions from distributors and customers via website.
    • Help coordinate tradeshows.
    • Social media creation
    • Product Descriptions

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, written and verbal skills.
    • Ability to work independently, but also function well in a team environment, display professional maturity and interact with all levels of management.
    • Ability to travel.
    • Results-oriented with the ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
    • Strong Knowledge of trends, fabrics.
    • Graphic Design skills – Illustration, PhotoShop
    • Content creation
