Product/Brand Management Director manages, develops, and oversees the implementation of marketing activities to maximize sales of a brand. Analyzes brand performance, brand competitiveness, and product trends in the marketplace and develops marketing strategies for a brand. Being a Product/Brand Management Director reviews marketing metrics to determine the effectiveness and value of marketing strategies or campaigns. Leads the development, curation, and deployment of marketing content and identifies effective sales channels. Additionally, Product/Brand Management Director translates marketing initiatives into specific projects and actionable plans. Works with management and team leaders to identify and implement appropriate sales strategies or improve direction for current campaigns. Ensures product and brand initiatives are consistent and support the organization's public image. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product/Brand Management Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Product/Brand Management Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Role Overview:

    As a Managing Director for Business Development at Synergy Management Group, you will play a critical role in driving our growth within the private equity and venture capital industry. Leveraging your extensive network and relationships within the industry, you will identify and close high-value consulting engagements with institutional investors, specifically in the private equity and venture capital domains.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to secure consulting engagements ranging from $50K to $1M with institutional investors (private equity & venture capital) within our four main service areas (refer to: https://synergymg.com/).
    • Leverage your existing network and relationships within the private equity industry to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
    • Collaborate with our executive team to create and implement strategic plans for client engagement and revenue generation.
    • Successfully close new client engagements through effective lead generation, proposal development, negotiation support, and client relationship management.
    • Client relationship management and senior-level client engagement supervision.
    • Utilize your deep understanding of the private equity landscape to provide valuable solutions and insights to clients.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 20 years of senior-level experience within the management consulting and private equity industry at top-tier or boutique firms (e.g., McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, KPMG, PwC, Deloitte, Blackstone, KKR, Carlyle, Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, Accel, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley).
    • Extensive network and relationships within the institutional investor ecosystem, particularly in the private equity and venture capital sectors.
    • Proven track record of identifying and closing $50K-$1M consulting engagements with institutional investors.
    • Strong business development skills, with the ability to convert leads into successful client engagements.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

    Additional Requirements:

    • This is a remote, commission-only, contract position. Compensation is based solely on successfully closing new client engagements for SMG, as a percentage of new client retainers, which range from $50K to $1M per engagement.
    • For engagement supervision of new client engagements that you generate, compensation will be $125-$500 per hour.
    • Upon successfully closing several new client engagements, compensation can transition to a more traditional model (e.g. base salary/monthly retainer commission).
    • You will be expected to successfully close a $50K consulting engagement with a new client within the first 30 days of joining Synergy Management Group, leveraging your existing network and relationships within the institutional investor (private equity & venture capital) industry.
    • Immediate availability to start.
