Process Engineering Director jobs in Virginia
Process Engineering Director directs and develops a team responsible for the optimization, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, or plants. Drives continuous improvement in process design, cost savings, quality, and resource utilization. Being a Process Engineering Director leads engineering projects, incorporates newest technologies, resolves engineering problems, approves process designs. Requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Additionally, Process Engineering Director typically reports to top management. The Process Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Process Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Responsibilities
- Guide, supervise, and mentor a team of engineers to reach exceptional performance and professional growth.
- Supervise the entire engineering division, encompassing software development, hardware development, and quality assurance.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement engineering strategies that align with business objectives.
- Guarantee the timely delivery of superior products and solutions.
- Promote innovation and ongoing improvement within the engineering team.
- Efficiently manage engineering budgets and resources.
- Cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Background in HVAC, cooling or power generation
- Degree qualified in engineering, business management or technical business discipline.
- Data Center experience preferred; construction management experience required
- 10 years working within mission critical environments
