Process Engineer develops and optimizes continuous production and manufacturing processes to achieve the output, quality, and cost goals of the organization. Collects production data and applies standard scientific and statistical methods to analyze, document, and diagram production processes. Being a Process Engineer identifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolve. Recommends changes or upgrades to equipment, work methods, or other aspects of the process to improve efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy and raw materials. Additionally, Process Engineer requires a bachelor's degree of engineering. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Process Engineer works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. To be a Process Engineer typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Responsibilities:- Responsible for a combination of activities in four key areas: Project, Process, Control, and Design Engineering.
- Provide project management and design for hardware and software system specification and integration of process systems used in the facility.
- Participate in plan development and consider customer requirements for process and related equipment investment and prepare technical presentations for project justification.
- Maintain and optimize the manufacturing process, equipment, and control system architecture to ensure the most safe and efficient manufacturing process while maintaining quality standards of the finished product.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve processing or equipment deficiencies.
- Develop and recommend corrective actions and document as appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent-combination of education/experience acceptable
- 2 to 5 years of experience working in an manufacturing environment preferred
- Basic knowledge of engineering systems and processes
- Strong analytical ability
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong PC Skills
