As a Wide Format Print Production Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of wide format printers and related equipment. Your primary duties will include:
Operating wide format printers to produce high-quality print materials according to client specifications.
Monitoring print jobs to ensure accuracy, color consistency, and overall print quality.
Performing routine maintenance on printers, including cleaning, calibrating, and replacing parts as needed.
Troubleshooting printer issues and performing minor repairs to minimize downtime.
Maintaining inventory levels of printing supplies and ordering replenishments as needed.
Collaborating with the production team to prioritize and schedule print jobs to meet deadlines.
Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
Experience:
- Proven experience in print production, sign shop or similar role in a fast-paced printing environment
- Strong knowledge of print production processes, including wide format printing, digital printing, cnc finishing, etc..
- Sign and vinyl installation is a plus
- Familiarity with color management techniques to ensure accurate color reproduction
- Experience operating CNC machines for cutting and machining materials
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely is a plus
- Knowledge of quality control procedures to maintain consistent output
