Print Production Coordinator jobs in Kansas
Print Production Coordinator initiates requests for competitive bids and negotiates with vendors and suppliers to perform print jobs for direct mail, seasonal promotions, sales collateral, and other printed media. Prepares estimates and cost analysis reports for internal budget approval. Being a Print Production Coordinator coordinates and prioritizes print production schedules and print specifications. Reviews all artwork and copy prior to delivery to printers for accuracy and formats. Additionally, Print Production Coordinator reviews and approves mock-ups and proofs, performs final quality assurance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Print Production Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The successful candidate will need to possess the following attributes:- Understanding of multiple facets of the printing/graphics industry, including pre-press, digital printing, direct mail, variable data printing, wide format printing, bindery/finishing, fulfillment, and shipping.
- Strong technical management background. Proficiency with Mac, PC, Printsmith and Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing people and commitment to employees’ professional growth through mentoring, training, cross-training, and accountability.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, goal setting, and follow through.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in oversight of purchasing and inventory control.
- A leader who is self-motivated, who takes personal responsibility for achieving the company’s vision and mission, and who inspires others to do the same.
