Night shift- 4:00PM to Midnight

Monday through Friday

Salary: Starting at $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

Responsible for advanced technical work in the operation of Flexographic and/or Digital printing equipment. Cleans and makes minor repairs and adjustments to machines and maintains them in good working order. Prepares and maintains necessary reports and records. Performs related work as required. Must be able to complete assigned work with many interruptions, and communicate well both orally and in writing. The Press Operator must maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Performs related work as required.
 

Responsibilities and Duties

The essential functions of the Press Operator consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

• Must maintain a clean, organized, safe and professional operating environment.
• Work in conjunction with the QA department to assure consistent quality and production.
• Demonstrate the ability to recognize and deal appropriately with priorities consistently.
• Assist in the routine cleaning and maintenance to appropriate Press Room equipment according to Maintenance Schedule and records all activities in Maintenance Log.
• ???Strictly adhere to procedures, regulations, and company operating policies.
• Function as Press Attendant, Inspector Rewinder, or Shipping/Receiving Clerk in their absence, if required.
• Operate complex printing presses and related equipment in the reproduction of high-quality printed material.
• Train and provide work direction and assistance to others.
• Maintain equipment in efficient working order, make simple adjustments and diagnose problems as appropriate; notify supervisor of malfunctions and problems as necessary.
• Maintain routine records as assigned.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Complete all work assigned according to timeframes set forth by supervisor. Notify supervisor in the event that all work cannot be completed as assigned.
• Participate in customer press checks in a professional, courteous
• Remains Press-side at all times while the press is in operation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

•   Experience as a production machine operator preferred.
• Basic computer skills, experience with MRP software preferred.
• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Read a ruler and use basic math.
• Work independently with general supervision
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

• Highschool Diploma or GED

Experience:

• Flexographic Printing Press: 1 year- 3 years(Preferred)
• Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
