Policy Change Supervisor jobs in Michigan

Policy Change Supervisor supervises a group of insurance policy change technicians to ensure that policy changes and requests are carried out according to established guidelines. Determines action on changes for which a policyholder has applied, but which are not covered by policy provisions, and computes costs or allowances for policy changes. Being a Policy Change Supervisor contacts policy owners and field agents with pertinent information that may affect a policy change. Does not have underwriting approval. Additionally, Policy Change Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Policy Change Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Policy Change Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Policy & Fiscal Analysis Supervisor

  • Oversees the Board of Commissioners Policy and Fiscal Analysis staff. Guides, directs and monitors the functions as a staff and resource person for the Board of Commissioners assigned to specific standing committees and task forces. Responds to individual Board Members' request for information as approved, coordinated and prioritized by the BOC – Chief of Staff and/or Board Chair. Oversees and conducts research on proposals and matters presented to the Board of Commissioners, provides analysis, recommendations, alternatives and reports as requested by the BOC – Chief of Staff and/or the Board Chair. Ensures all requests to the Board of Commissioners comply with County policies, procedures, regulations and aligns with the policy priorities of the Board of Commissioners. Functions as a liaison with County departments, outside agencies, firms and other government officials as requested by the BOC – Chief of Staff and/or the Board Chair. May be required to work an adjusted schedule involving evening hours and/or weekends. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments. Applications will be rejected if the following information is not provided at the time of application:

    1. Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field of study.

    2. Have had seven (7) years of full-time work experience in financial analysis, business administration, accounting, economic analysis, system analysis, personnel administration, or related area.

    NOTE: A Master's degree in one of the fields listed above may be substituted for one (1) year of the work experience described above.
