CORRECTIONAL CENTER LIEUTENANT
The Grand Forks County Correctional Center (GFCCC), currently a 242-bed facility located at 1701 N Washington St., Grand Forks, ND, is recruiting for the position of Correctional Center Lieutenant.
This is a full-time, regular position (based on 40 hours per week), benefit eligible. There might be a variation to work hours and days to support the department and County needs.

Salary Range: $70,139 - $83,749 annually (DOE) with excellent benefits (benefit information below).

Minimum Qualifications for consideration: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education: Four-year degree in law enforcement or related field. An appropriate combination of education and experience may be substituted for degree.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience gained through prior experience in corrections, law enforcement, or military.
Licenses, Certificates, and Registrations: CO Basic Certified. Possession of a valid driver’s license prior and during employment.
The ideal candidate will have the knowledge of adult corrections management, supervision, civil rights, search and seizure, rules of evidence, employee relations, the record system, and the care, custody, and control of inmates. The judicial system, the criminal prosecution system, and state and federal criminal laws. Prison management and criminal rehabilitation principles and practices. Methods and techniques required to enforce discipline among inmates. Rules and regulations governing the security of a correctional center. Statutory laws governing correctional institutions including Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), Criminal History Record Information Act and DOCR standards. Individual and group behavior of persons in custody. Housekeeping and sanitation requirements of a correctional facility. Use of restraint devices and other devices used to maintain the custody and control on inmates. Principles and processes for effective teamwork and represent the Correctional Center and County in a positive professional manner.
