Job Summary:

Manages and oversees overall plant operations to ensure profitability and attainment of goals. The duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of material at the Hydro Yankton, SD location.

Required Education/Experience:

• 8-10 years in a leadership role in a heavy manufacturing industry
• Minimum of a BS Degree. MBA preferred

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for plant production goals and for the coordination of plant operations within company policies and procedures, and work with HSE to develop and maintain a Safe work environment.
• Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizational goals, - specifically, support management reporting, information flow, business process and organizational planning.
• Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
• Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls.
• Management of location budget in coordination with Plant Controller.
• Maintain a clean and safe plant while meeting safety goals.
• Establish and maintain a positive community relationship.
• Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
• Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of purchasing, production, and shipping.
• Schedule and conduct plant meetings.
• Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
