Accountant
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant located in Bunker Hill, IN. The accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, overseeing accounts payable / accounts receivable functions, and applying the generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records.
As an Accountant you will assist the Chief Financial Officer in maintaining accurate, current, and complete accounting records. Span of responsibilities includes accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and period end processing in an industrial environment with a customer service mindset.
Primary Responsibilities- Assist in the set up of internal processes and controls, while we prepare for the initial product launch
- Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable subsidiary ledgers, providing full-cross functional support to A/P and A/R functions
- Coordinate bank accounts and report financial results on a regular basis to the CFO
- Reconcile credit card statements with receipts
- Process invoices from vendors and performs accounts payable functions and recordkeeping
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required
- Must have a minimum 3-5 years of related experience
- Manufacturing experience in cost accounting preferred
- Must have QuickBooks experience
- Must have excellent attention to detail and approach job duties with an analytical approach
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to communicate and interact positively with team members from various
- cultural backgrounds
- The ability to prioritize tasks, drive process improvements, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is a Plus
