Plan Design Specialist jobs in Maine
Plan Design Specialist works closely with clients to design group health, dental and/or life insurance plans to create an overall benefit package. Works alongside underwriters, but is not an underwriter role. Being a Plan Design Specialist monitors and analyzes cost trends. May handle more complex plan design. Additionally, Plan Design Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Plan Design Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is to provide CADD support to Product Care and Research and Development (R&D).
Primary Responsibilities- Basic design work including fit studies, tolerance studies, etc.
- CADD support based on red lined drawings.
- Performs other assignments as directed by local management.
- Interact and support other functional areas of the department such as Quality Assurance and Model Shop.
Pay Range: $28.24 - $35.31 Compensation based on work experience and skills.
Qualifications- Associates degree in CADD or a related field required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in field of expertise is required.
- Strong mathematical skills required.
- Computer Aided Drafting experience is required.
- Solid Modeling experience is required.
- SolidWorks experience is required.
- Cosmos experience is preferred.
- Practical experience or understanding of woodworking, metal working and plastic manufacturing is preferred.
- Demonstrates proficiency in all office systems/skills, Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience with the use of an ERP system is preferred. Use of SAP preferred.
- Must be extremely detail and accuracy oriented.
- Must be process oriented.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must be a good decision maker and problem solver.
- Must be an excellent communicator.
- Must present a positive and professional appearance and image.
- Must be an independent self-starter who is capable of functioning in a team environment.
- Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
- Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in the Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communications is a requirement of the job.
