Physician Residency Coordinator oversees the administration and scheduling of the physician residency program of a healthcare organization. Coordinates and facilitates the activities of the physician residents and provides the resources necessary to fulfill curriculum requirements. Being a Physician Residency Coordinator ensures physician activities comply with governing bodies such as the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or other applicable regulations. Supports the recruitment and selection process of resident physicians. Additionally, Physician Residency Coordinator administers and maintains a system or database to manage schedules and physician performance metrics. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Physician Residency Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The Coordinator of Maine Teacher Residency will oversee the weekly coordination of the state-wide, grant funded project. This position is responsible for coordinating with Educator Preparation Programs in Maine, PK-12 school districts, and state agencies. The Coordinator will ensure consistent and well-coordinated project outreach efforts and activities. This work involves extensive outreach to connect with Maine educators in the field across the P-20 continuum and meeting with constituent groups to determine staffing and support needs.
