Additionally, Physician - Podiatry requires a valid state license to practice. May report to a medical director. Physician - Podiatry's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Job Description
We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. This is a traveling position where as they are on the road every day like a HVAC tech is and home every night.
Medical Specialties- Geriatrics
Work is performed indoors in an artificially controlled environment. Travel to satellite sites and/or consumer facilities. Exposure to biohazards; necessary precautions i.e., surgical gloves, eyewear and face masks.
Roles And Responsibilities- Educates patients and/or families about preventative care, medical issues, and use of prescribed treatments and/or medications.
- Prescribe medications, corrective devices.
- Refer patients to physicians when symptoms indicative of systemic disorders, such as arthritis or diabetes, are observed in feet and legs.
- Surgically treat conditions such as corns, calluses, ingrown nails, tumours, bunions, cysts, and abscesses.
- Ensure assistant properly maintains medical equipment.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) Program or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) Program
- 1 year Podiatry experience (Preferred)
- Active NP/PA License in the State of North Carolina
- Active board certification as an NP/Active board certification as an PA
- Active DEA license
