We are seeking a dedicated and organized Patient Coordinator to join our dental office team. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent customer service to our patients. DUTIES:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is obtained
- Scheduling and rescheduling appointments as needed.
- First to answer phone calls, responding to messages.
- Collect patient co-pays and process payments
- Maintain patient records, including medical history, insurance information, and billing records
- Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, scanning and faxing documents.
- Handle patient inquiries, resolve issues or escalate as necessary
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology (preferred but not required)
- Proficient in dental practice management software Dentrix (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and dental staff
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
