    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dynamic Appointment Scheduler to join our team! This position is primarily responsible for answering incoming calls, tracking patient referrals, customer service and scheduling appointments for patients.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Answers all incoming calls to organization efficiently.
    • Set standard for first impression and the level of service provided by CENT&A.
    • Is responsible for the accurate scheduling of physician appointments.
    • Follows scheduling guidelines for each physician as outlined by Administration.
    • Completes all new patient data entry requirements.
    • Informs and instructs patients on set-up and use of patient portal.
    • Informs patients of company website and all patient documents therein.
    • Instructs patient to bring test results that may have been ordered by other physicians that relate to the current visit.
    • Reviews appointment reminder reports in the morning and implements patient requests such as cancellations and rescheduling requests.
    • Demonstrate team effort with all personnel by performing the tasks requested timely and with enthusiasm.
    • Complies with all regulatory requirements such as OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance and other requirements that may be mandated.
    • Projects positive image of company always.

    Requirements

    • High School diploma or GED, One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in medical office preferred.
    • Experience with multi-line telephone operating system preferred.
    • Ability to provide excellent customer service.
    • Ability to commit to established work schedule and being punctual.
    • Strong professional, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
    • Strong problem solving and time management skills.
    • Strong oral and written skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable and dependable.

    Work Environment

    • This position will be performed on site in a medical office setting.
