Fountain City Church is making an impact in our community and around the world by leading people to Follow Christ Completely. We want to see the gospel flourish in our city, a generation to know the love of Christ, leaders raised up and sent out, and prayer to be our first response, not just our last resort.

Our Next-Gen Team is core to who we are and how we reach the next generation with the Gospel. The aim of the Kids Pastor is to encourage babies through 5th graders (to follow Christ completely), equip individuals & families (with leadership and resources), and empower volunteers (to make a difference).

• Gifted, experienced, and still willing to grow in the areas of communication, leadership, innovation, and volunteer development

• More interested in finding a future partner in ministry than filling a role by yourself

• More excited by a second-grader coming to know Christ than a confirmed Planning Center position (while realizing both are gifts from the Lord)

AND WANT TO...

SHEPHERD THEIR EXPERIENCE

• Oversee all Kids Activities (Nursery, KidsWorship, MidWeek, Big Events, etc.)

• Curate events to engage kids with the Gospel and enable volunteers to make an impact

• Be present and purposeful amongst kids, families, and volunteers

STEWARD THE ENVIRONMENT

• Bring creativity, organization, relevance, and excitement to all Kids Areas and Activities

• Take security and safety seriously for all Kids Events

STRENGTHEN WITH ENGAGEMENT

• Recruit, Resource, and Release volunteers in Kids Ministry

• Discover and Develop leaders throughout Kids Ministry

• Communicate and Coordinate with the rest of the Next-Gen Team (Kids, Youth, & Young Adults)

• Come alongside parents to shepherd and support them as they follow Christ together

The Kids Pastor at Fountain City Church

Full-Time with 40 hours per week:

• Weekends: 5 hours for KidsWorship Services (including setup, leadership, and huddles)

• Weekdays: 32 hours in Office / Kids Area split across four days (Mon.-Thurs.)

• Flex: 3 hours of Leadership / Development / Preparation / Shepherding and other Kids Events
