Paralegal Supervisor jobs in Utah
Paralegal Supervisor supervises the paralegal team and implements systems and processes utilized to conduct research and produce legal documents. Coordinates the preparation of legal documents and tracks projects to ensure the work is completed accurately and on time. Being a Paralegal Supervisor organizes documents into formal report and proofs for attorneys. Trains paralegals to effectively utilize databases and legal libraries to conduct research. Additionally, Paralegal Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Paralegal Certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Paralegal Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Paralegal Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. - Organizing and archiving documents related to completed and ongoing cases.
- Legal drafting
- Filing documents with the court.
- Working alongside the attorney.
- Preparing documents and exhibits
- Interacting with clients
- Calendaring
- Keeping up on case deadlines
Qualifications
- Prefer a paralegal school graduate.
- Possess excellent grammar, writing, and computer skills.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact well with co-workers and emotionally distressed clients.
- Positive attitude when dealing with difficult situations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Bilingual a plus
