Job Summary :
The Maintenance Supervisor Electromechanical is responsible for facilitating total team performance by coordinating, monitoring, and directing the maintenance activities.
The role will carry out action plans associated with the maintenance, repair, and installation of electromechanical equipment and systems in a print manufacturing facility.
The Maintenance Supervisor Electromechanical ensures that the equipment and systems are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the quality standards and regulations.
This role will work closely with other team leaders to provide resources, ongoing work direction, decision making, and problem solving to ensure that safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.

Performs departmental supervision responsibilities in accordance with Inland’s policies and applicable laws by interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, managing employee timecards, approving vacation requests, assisting in the disciplinary process and addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Responsible for ensuring that company policies are understood and observed in the department. Assists in enforcing company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
- Maintains a strong level of morale and efficiency within the department. Provides guidance and direction to direct reports and assists in overcoming roadblocks.
- Conducts training of both new and current staff to ensure understanding and competency.
- Responsible for SQP and its improvement within the department.
- Assists in developing the annual department strategic plan by collaborating with operations, finance, quality, and P&IC teams.
- Manages day-to-day activities of all staff to ensure value-adding activities and alignment with overall company strategic plan.
- Identifies and recommends continuous improvement efforts and innovations.
- Demonstrates and encourages safe work practices and expects the same of each team member.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the preventive and corrective maintenance of the electromechanical equipment and systems, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, sensors, controllers, and printers.
- Prepare and maintain the maintenance schedules, records, reports, and documentation.
- Assign work orders and maintenance activities, monitor job status and ensure reporting is accurate.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance and efficiency of the electromechanical equipment and systems; and recommend and implement improvements and upgrades.
- Support employees in efforts to troubleshoot and diagnose electromechanical problems and issues and provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance staff.
- Promotes employee development through effective verbal and written communications, cross-training skills, and appropriate use of teams to support problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Ensure that the maintenance activities are performed in accordance with the safety procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with team leaders, employees throughout the organization external contractors and vendors to ensure the maintenance processes support the production plan and customer requirements.
- Manage the maintenance budget, inventory, and resources, and ensure the optimal utilization and availability of the spare parts and tools.
- Leads cost reduction projects, working with vendors / contractors and scheduling.
- Provide timely updates to the Maintenance Manager of safety, quality and productivity concerns and employee performance issues / problems.
- Liaison between employees, Maintenance Manager, and Human Resources regarding any SQP and other employment concerns.

Essential skills and experience :
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Minimum of 5 years of past maintenance experience in manufacturing environment.
- 2 years of proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and skills in electromechanical equipment and systems, such as motors, pumps, conveyors, sensors, controllers, and printers.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
- Knowledge and skills in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic principles and applications.
- Proficiency in Computerized maintenance management information system (CMMS)
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic programming.
- Ability to use various tools and equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering irons, and hand tools.
- Ability to foster strong working relationships with direct reports.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize initiatives and projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of internal and external customers.

Nonessential skills and experience :
- An associate degree in Electromechanical Technician, Engineering and / or related field
- Work experience within the printing field.
Work Environment :
Operates in a demanding, fast-paced, people-oriented manufacturing environment with frequent changes and interruptions, and multiple project assignments.
Works with a variety of people including vendors, customers, employees, managers, and executives.
Required Work Schedule :
- Typically works standard business hours
- Must be flexible for occasional meetings and responsibilities outside of standard business hours including weekends
