Packaging Engineer jobs in North Dakota

HireQuest Direct of Minot is seeking a full time Packaging Operator! As a Packaging Operator, you will operate, monitor, and perform basic troubleshooting of extrusion and auxiliary equipment to ensure the production of clean, high-quality products that meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Extrusion production line equipment.
• Perform all pre-operational checks for the extrusion production line.
• Ensure that all recordkeeping is accurate, complete, and submitted at end of shift.
• Follow up with Extrusion Lead and go over daily responsibilities.
• Maintain hourly sampling, testing, and recordkeeping of products to be within customer specifications.
• Follow proper cleaning and sanitization procedures for equipment and department.
• Proper disposal of all chemicals.
• Uphold a quality-conscious and food-safe culture.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.

Duty Requirements:

• Work involves walking, standing, and moving throughout the day, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Duties include various physical activities: bending, lifting, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, standing, enclosed spaces, climbing, and operating machinery.
• Must stand or walk for long periods.
• Work environment noise varies from low to moderate.
• Personal protective equipment required: safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirator/dust mask, protective footwear, and clothing/uniforms.
• Must communicate effectively with co-workers and may need to work non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Work may occur in cold, hot, or dusty environments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and interpret documents.
• Good Communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often with limited supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.15 - $21.85 per hour
