Optician jobs in Mississippi

We are looking for a full time optician to add to our team (part time will be considered if preferable). Applicant must be friendly, motivated, with good communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

Optician Job Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding and assisting patients' needs.
• Guide and assist patients in the eyewear and frame/lens selection process by using extensive knowledge of product lines and options to educate the client.
• Educate clients on lens options.
• Use proper tools to take accurate measurements and fit/adjust eyewear for patient needs.
• Help maintain the attractive appearance of the office
• Stock eyeglass cases, cleaners, and contact lens station, and ensure frame boards are presentable and full as applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Optician Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous Optician experience preferred but not required.
• Comfortable with sales and enjoy helping people in a customer setting.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
