Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home administers the nursing program in a nursing home in the absence of the Nursing Director. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care. Being a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Assists in the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Additionally, Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Typically requires an advanced degree of nursing. A Day in the Life as the Director of Nursing
As the director of nursing, you arrive each day ready to take the nursing program above and beyond. You get to participate in a variety of activities each day, both administrative and hands-on. You plan, develop, and implement the entire RAI process. You maintain compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
You supervise the RNs, LPNs, and CNAs in carrying out the process. Through your excellent leadership, a culture of positive energy, quality care, and personal service pervades the nursing department. You are accountable for their training and performance and inspire them to reach new heights of excellence each day.
You coordinate the nursing services with the other departments. You ensure the full staffing and efficiency of the nursing department. You work with a budget and oversee the inventory of supplies and equipment.
