May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Nurse Recruiter typically reports to a manager. May require RN license. The Nurse Recruiter gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.   • Position Objective:

    The Talent Acquisition Specialist-Nursing supports the coordination of all nursing recruitment activities across Luminis Health. Responsible for sourcing and pre-qualifying potential candidates, conducting interviews, working with leadership to develop recruitment and retention strategies, hiring the best possible talent to support strategic business goals and objectives. 

    Essential Job Duties:

    1. Develops and implements the necessary recruitment systems that facilitate quick turnaround time from first contact to hire for all nursing positions. Uses social media and creative sourcing strategies to find candidates for difficult to fill positions.
    2. In collaboration with Nursing and Human Resources Leadership, provides input and support to nursing recruitment and retention strategies.
    3. Implements the strategic nursing recruitment plan utilizing a variety of methods that insure achievement of established measurable outcomes including new graduates, student nurse externships, and specialty internships.  Works collaboratively with Clinical Education and department of nursing leadership to develop programs.
    4. Develops strong relationships with department clinical directors, staff and nursing leadership through regular communication to identify current and future needs.
    5. Develops relationships with defined area colleges and universities to assure continued success with nursing graduate and externship programs.
    6. Performs full cycle recruitment functions to include: sourcing applicants using various sources, screening applicants to ensure they meet the minimum qualifications for the position, phone interviewing and pre-qualifying potential candidates, scheduling interviews with appropriate stakeholders, update and maintain Applicant Tracking System daily to track candidates status from initial contact to actual date of hire, complete professional reference checks, verify professional licensure/certifications, determine salary offer while maintaining internal equity and market competitiveness, conduct background checks through third party vendor and complete the necessary onboarding paperwork including bonuses, relocation, and training agreements.
    7. Facilitates promotions and transfers by coordinating the recruitment process; counsel’s employees regarding available opportunities within Luminis Health..
    8. Sources to create pipelines of qualified candidates for positions using available tools and creative strategies such as use of CRM, ATS, Social Media, databases, attending career fairs, conducting open houses, relationships with colleges and community organizations.
    9. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
    10. Provides candidates with a positive experience throughout the engagement process by responding promptly, providing feedback in a timely manner.  Utilizes employer branding to engage, identify candidate motivation and help align candidate goals with Luminis Health offerings.  Has a command of programs and offerings in nursing to promote growth and development of nurses.

     

    Educational/Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelors degree (Nursing preferred)
    • For RN candidates, a minimum of three years as a registered nurse in acute care.
    • For non-RN candidates, a minimum of three years with high volume RN recruitment experience

    License/Certifications:

    • Preferred: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing
    • Preferred Certifications: Certified HealthCare Recruiter (CHCR), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), SHRM-CP or other certification related to Human Resources or Talent Acquisition.

    Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands:

    There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will not be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.

    Physical Demands -

    Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
