Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic works in collaboration with physicians to manage care for patients in an orthopedic setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Orthopedic requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Physical: The noise level is usually moderate. Exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, toxic substances, and similar conditions is possible. This position requires frequently moving between patient rooms, operating rooms, etc.
Note: This position operates in a clinical environment. This position is benefit eligible. 30-39 hours per week.
