Position Summary:
Phoenix Heart is looking for a Cardiac Nurse Practitioner with experience in Electrophysiology who can deliver medical care within the specialty of cardiology and heart failure to a wide variety of patients. The NP will be responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current patient records and scheduling and administering follow-up appointments to patients as required. The successful candidate will work as a team with our physicians and will assist in delivering premium care to each and every patient.
Responsibilities:
Provides primary care to patients. Performs initial examinations, ordering and administering diagnostic tests.
Assessing patients, analyzing data and applying principles of health care at an advanced level.
Utilizes protocol driven evidence based cardiac care and coordinates with physician in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of delegated medical treatments.
Obtain detailed and accurate health and psychosocial history, with an emphasis on cardiovascular medicine.
Screen and evaluate patients to determine need for intervention, referral or follow-up care under the direction of the supervising physicians.
Perform comprehensive physical assessment with emphasis on cardiovascular medicine (thorough exam to include, but not limited to: thyroid, chest, heart, abdomen, peripheral vascular evaluation, neurological.
Qualifications:
· Completed a nurse practitioner education program and certification as approved or recognized by the Arizona State Board of Nursing.
