Nuclear Pharmacist under the direction of a physician, compounds and dispenses radiopharmaceutical drugs to medical care providers. Responsible for procuring, compounding, dispensing, and distributing radiopharmaceuticals. Being a Nuclear Pharmacist analyzes drugs for verification of identity and strength. Must have completed a program in nuclear pharmacy. Additionally, Nuclear Pharmacist may require an advanced degree of pharmacy. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires license to practice. Nuclear Pharmacist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. Regulatory/Educational Requirements- Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree.

- Ability to set priorities, makes critical decisions, and responds quickly to emergency requests.
- Ability to exercise sound professional judgment.
- Ability to meet the pharmaceutical care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, psychiatric, oncology, obstetric, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing patients.
- Strong communication skills.
